Livejournal, you're so much better now. You've made a lot of improvements over the past three years.

Just posting my current, up-to-date blog: http://blog.glimbit.com

... and my portfolio: http://www.glimbit.com/portfolio

Hey! If you're interested I'm over at http://www.ericmsmith.com  (another address here: http://glimbit.typepad.com ). Glimbit is my new blogging space. Did you know Typepad and LiveJournal are owned by the same peeps? CRAZY. Typepad gave me some cool functionality, so I made it go.

I'm also involved with a blog about LERNIN'. Some guys from work and I thought it would be fun to improve our learning design kung-fu. Better training through blogging. That blog is called NPIO - The Network of Performance Improvers Online (for lack of a better meaning for that acronym.) You can see it here: http://glimbit.typepad.com/npio

No fears, I've got my friend's liveJournals syndicated in my news aggregator. So I'll be in touch. Stop by and see me sometime.

One more try at the video thing over at http://glimbit.typepad.com . It's like a drawing show, without the interesting host. Posting the video wasn't as easy as I would have liked, but I think it's because my network connection is REALLY unstable tonight. Might do a few more of those.

Over at Glimbit, I'm trying out the new VideoEgg integrated video blog posting thing. It's extremely easy to use - I shot a test video using my web cam and I'm pleased with the results. Just wish I had more to say.

Flock: new browser based on Firefox. This browser may make life easier for blogging, flickr-using and del.icio.us linking. Currently in developer-release (0.5). Worth checking out, but it might be buggy.

OH MY GOSH! Have you seen: http://glimbit.typepad.com ?

I'm experimenting with a new blog at Typepad. There are a couple of features (Multiple Authors and Trackback, namely) that I don't see in LiveJournal. If I'm wrong, somebody tell me. I need these features for a thing I want to try with work friends.

Typepad is a little complex and it's a pay-service. Boo. Might be able to get work to foot some of the bill, but not counting on it. I've got it for free for 30 days, so I'll be able to see if it wins me over.

I'll continue to post here as I go through my 30 day free trial with Typepad. Probably post some of my thoughts. If you have this liveJournal bookmarked, don't worry about changing it just yet. I'll add a link here if I post there, and let you know if I make the switcheroo permanent-like.

More about the word "Glimbit" later, but it relates to this post in some strange way: http://www.livejournal.com/users/gweeb/6013.html

Probably my last "Emet" update for a few weeks. The story has 3 more pages.
Page 5 Roughs - Emet: Tokens of Esteem
Will Emet get to Roberts in time, or will Roberts stumble upon Bobby's booby traps and meet an untimely demise?
See you in  a couple of weeks for the answers! (Did that build suspense? Are you anxious to see wha happa?)

Inspiration from this blog:
http://sethgodin.typepad.com/seths_blog/2005/09/open_big.html
  • Make something worth making.
  • Sell something worth talking about.
  • Believe in what you do because you may have to do it for a long time before it catches on.
  • Don't listen to the first people who give you feedback.
  • Don't give up. Not for a while, anyway.

Mr. Hewitt Gauthier (pronounced "Goshay") was on the news, showing video of his home and the surrounding area of Port Sulphur, LA.
